Who
We Are

Your architecture firm for custom homes, communities, and commercial projects

Our firm was built on a fairly simple idea: finding the beauty in the everyday. Good design isn’t rare. It’s all around us, especially in the spaces we use every day. That’s been our ethos since opening in 2019, and we follow that with every project today.

We’re a woman-owned, Seattle-based, boutique architecture and interior design firm working across residential, commercial, and community-oriented projects. We’re a small, generalist firm by design, it’s to ensure the best relationships possible with every client. And you can bet we’ll bring the same precision, curiosity, and warmth no matter the project, from a corner wine bar to a custom family home. Our name “Office of Ordinary” is really just a reminder that everyday spaces deserve the same attention, craft, and thoughtfulness as anything else.

Meet Our Team

See What We’ve Been Up To

Our projects cover a lot of ground, but they all come back to the same idea: the everyday experience of a space matters. That might mean a home renovation, a neighborhood café, or an urban infill project here in Seattle. We approach each one with an eye for the details that shape day-to-day use.

HOW WE WORK

With our team, architecture and interior design are considered together from the very first conversation. They’re integrated from the start, not treated as separate services handed back and forth throughout the process. And where other firms specialize in a single type or scale, we move fluidly between project types. What’s this look like? The material scope we develop on a custom home can help inform how we approach a commercial kitchen. Or the problem-solving we do on a zoning feasibility study sharpens how we think about a bedroom layout. Nothing our team does operates in a silo.

AREAS OF FOCUS

We design homes around your daily routine. The small moments, the in-between spaces, and everything that makes a house feel like your space.

Seattle zoning can get complicated. We help make sense of it and turn it into housing that works, whether that’s accessory dwelling units, townhomes, or small multi-unit projects that feel connected instead of crowded.

We focus on spaces that work hard and still feel like they belong to the people using them. Think coffee shops, small offices, retail, and neighborhood spots that people come back to again and again.
